As an Application Support Engineer, you’ll take ownership of supporting, maintaining, and improving ART’s enterprise applications, with a strong focus on SaaS and vendor-managed platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, driving service improvements, and partnering with vendors and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. You will be responsible for: - Providing application support, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure systems remain stable and available for end users
- Managing incidents and service requests, including prioritisation, diagnosis, resolution, and escalation where required
- Supporting release and change processes, including building, testing, and deploying system updates into live environments
- Monitoring application performance and contributing to availability, resilience, and service improvement initiatives
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures to reduce recurring incidents and risks
- Managing vendor relationships, including escalation management, service reviews, and assessment of vendor releases and changes
- Providing integration awareness across platforms (e.g. APIs, identity/SSO, certificates, downstream systems) to support end-to-end service delivery
- Partnering with platform owners, product teams, and business stakeholders to enhance operability, supportability, and user outcomes
This role is a permanent opportunity. 📍 Location: Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Proven experience supporting complex IT systems, including both front- and back-office platforms
- Strong incident management, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively
- Experience working within vendor-led support models, including managing escalations and interpreting vendor outputs (e.g. release notes, RCA reports)
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms, ideally within a regulated or financial services environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams
- A strong service ownership mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement beyond reactive support
- Understanding of system integrations and enterprise application environments
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience in supporting complex IT systems such as Jira, Confluence, Genesys, Oracle HCM, TechOne, Windows OS, Linux OS, certificates, and web services such as IIS/Apache/Tomcat
Desirable: Experience in superannuation or financial services, knowledge of Agile/SDLC practices, and ITIL certification.
