As a Senior Legal Counsel - Growth Assets and Private Credit, you will be a trusted adviser and business partner in relation to investment matters, providing specialist, solutions-focused legal advice and services. A key focus of this role will be advising the Growth (Public Equity) team in the Investments Business Area. Day to day, you'll: - Provide timely, accurate and commercially appropriate legal advice on investment related activities.
- Lead the review and assessment of complex equity related investments and projects arising from ART equity capital markets activity, including sub-underwriting, placements, ECM blocks etc.
- Lead the review and assessment of the investment strategies for Australian equities from a legal perspective including the assessment and provision of expert advice on the legal issues and risks in connection with ART’s Australian equity strategies.
- Provide expert advice on and implement of inside information and restricted trading barriers frameworks and processes.
- Remain current with changes in legislation and best practice particularly as it impacts investment activities in ECM and public equity markets by conducting research, interpretation and training.
- Collaborate and develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure advice is provided.

We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Tertiary qualification in Law and current unrestricted practising certificate as a Legal Practitioner in Australia.
- Extensive legal experience in a law firm and/or investment bank specialising in public markets and ECM investments.
- Ability to lead negotiations on a range of complex and high value matters.
- Robust negotiation, drafting, influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience in advising and working collaboratively with business teams to deliver time and business critical projects.
- Experience liaising and building effective relationships with key business stakeholders, including senior stakeholders.
