About the role

Every one of our team contributes to helping make our members’ world better. As a Technical Administrator in our Enabling Services team, you will be responsible for the packaging and deployment of ART’s  Desktop Application portfolio. This position requires extensive experience with SCCM, Intune, Windows 10, Desktop Application Packaging and Virtual Application Delivery technologies (such as Citrix).  Proven experience to implement effective application delivery solutions will be vital to ensure high quality services and technology for use by our employees, partners and members.

 

The Technical Administrator will play a critical role in supporting a transformation of ART’s application delivery within the Desktop environment.  Working with stakeholders and application SME’s, the driving focus will be to ensure seamless end to end automated delivery of applications to end users.  Objectives will include expanding the existing application catalogue, building a self-service portal centred around SCCM and Microsoft Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager) and leveraging automation to ensure a Lean approach to BAU operations. 

 

The Technical Administrator position will be vital to ensuring success in the development of ART’s new Digital Workplace Strategy. The role will be part of a larger team to deliver flexible technology solutions that achieve this vision.  An ability to work cross discipline across various technologies and directly with business users, will be considered crucial to success within this role. 

 

This role is available as a 12month max-term/ secondment opportunity.

 

 

About you

If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications will include:

  • Advanced knowledge of Desktop Config Management software products (e.g. Microsoft SCCM, Intune, Powershell) with demonstrated experience in successful Application Packaging (App-V / MSI-X), Application Deployment and other system administrative functions within a commercial environment (e.g. Patch management, Software metering).

  • Demonstrated Experience with Desktop Application Packaging, Testing and Deployment best practice.  Including integration and sequenced scripting, regression testing / QA, deployment coordination and warranty support. 

  • Advanced Knowledge with Desktop Packaging tools and techniques such as Powershell Automation Scripting, Wise Package Studio, MSI-X, App-V, Citrix and other related technologies and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience in performing Windows 7 & 10 Enterprise administration functions and associated experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Exchange, Office, Word, Office 365 experience is also desirable).

  • In depth experience with ITIL change management practices.

  • Self-starter with strong team orientation, ability to solve problems autonomously.

  • In-depth knowledge of current Microsoft server products and willingness to learn new technologies.

  • Strong consulting capabilities and customer focused approach.

  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
