About the role

In this newly created role, you will act as a trusted adviser and business partner in relation to investment matters. You will provide specialist, solutions-focused legal advice and services in the negotiation and resolution of complex legal issues. You will be the first point of contact for any investment related projects and initiatives as well as investment asset transfers arising from successor fund transfers.


This role is available as a permanent opportunity.


We are flexible with location provided you can attend our Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne office at least once a week. 


About you

If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications will include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Law and current unrestricted practicing certificate as a Legal Practitioner in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the legal review process of asset transfers arising from successor fund transfers.
  • Extensive post admission experience working at a top tier law firm and/or as in-house legal counsel (asset manager or superannuation fund).
  • Knowledge of the superannuation industry and associated regulatory regime.
  • Sound academic grounding supported by superior problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead negotiations on a range of complex and high value matters.
  • Robust negotiation, drafting, influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organisation.
  • High level of professional ethics and demonstrated integrity.

This role will required interstate travel.
